Scope of Responsibilities

• Carrying out first principle pressure vessel design and costing using DPS proprietary estimating software.
• Carrying out first principle heat exchanger design and costing using DPS proprietary and bought in estimating software.
• Carrying out first principle structural steel design MTO and costing using DPS proprietary estimating software.
• Carrying out first principle pipe work design MTO and costing using DPS proprietary estimating software.
• Carrying out first principle fabrication and assembly man-hour costing using DPS proprietary estimating software.
• The establishment and maintenance of systems and procedures within the function, in accordance with the Company’s QA procedures, that maximise the technical and commercial security of the Company’s proposals.
• Working closely with the Company’s sales, proposals and purchasing teams overseas associate companies, partners, fabrication yards, and suppliers to ensure that the customer’s needs are met, and that the agreed sales strategy is being followed.
• Other duties as required

Primary Duties

• Engineering Mechanical Design for DPS projects and proposals

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical design field, with an HND/ technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant subject.

Experience & Competency

• Be able to pull together complex material estimates, and to carry out basic pressure vessel & structural steel calculations using Microsoft Excel or equivalent. Able to understand gross margin percentages and calculations.
